Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Comfort and adaptability working with students with a range of special education requirements
• Experience supporting children in special education or ABA settings is advantageous
• Willingness to assist students with daily living activities, including toileting
• Active GaPSC Paraprofessional Educator Certificate preferred; if not held, candidates must have at least an Associate's degree or have successfully completed the Para GACE exam
• Strong communication skills and an encouraging, flexible attitude

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day assistance to students in the self-contained resource classroom
• Collaborate with special education teachers and staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Support students in developing academic and social-emotional skills
• Offer caring supervision and help with daily routines
• Maintain a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere for all students
