SUMMARY:
- The IA hourly rate is $21.00/hour with 3 days of paid time off
- The IA position will work on all student days following the academic calendar year
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an Instructional Aide (IA), you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic, behavioral, social, and personal growth within the classroom and school environment. Responsibilities include:
- Provide instructional, behavioral, and/or physical support to individual students or small groups, including on-task prompting, social skills development, and self-care assistance.
- Support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans by implementing accommodations and strategies as directed.
- Reinforce learning concepts, classroom instruction, and skill development to help students achieve their educational goals.
- Work one-on-one or in small groups to provide targeted academic and behavioral support.
- Assist students in developing organizational, communication, problem-solving, and independent living skills.
- Guide students through classroom activities, monitor participation and progress, and provide feedback to instructional staff.
- Promote positive student behavior and help maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and school administrators to support student success.
- Supervise students during lunch, recess, arrival/dismissal, transitions, and other non-instructional school activities.
- Foster positive relationships with students while encouraging independence, confidence, and social-emotional growth.
