Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Crisis Prevention Training completed or willingness to obtain prior to start
- Paraprofessional certification for MN or a minimum of 60 completed college credits
- Dedication to student success and enthusiasm for working with children of varied backgrounds and abilities
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Flexibility, patience, and reliability in managing daily classroom routines
- Assist classroom teachers with instruction, classroom management, and support for students with diverse needs
- Provide one-on-one and small group guidance for academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
- Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) under the direction of certified teachers
- Support students in crisis or challenging situations following established safety protocols
- Collaborate with school staff to maintain a safe and constructive school environment
