Instructional Aide - Corning, NY

Make a meaningful difference in a preschool student's day-to-day experience! This contract-based Teacher's Aide/Teacher's Assistant opportunity is available near Corning, NY from September 8, 2026, through June 18, 2027. With consistent hours totaling 32.5 per week, you'll provide essential one-on-one support to a preschool student, collaborating with educators and therapists to create a positive, nurturing learning environment.
Key Skills & Experience:

• Experience as a school-based paraprofessional or classroom assistant preferred.
• Previous work supporting young children, ideally in a one-on-one capacity.
• Familiarity with behavior management strategies is a plus.
• Comfortable providing personal care such as changing diapers and managing daily routines.
• Patient, caring, and adaptable approach to daily tasks.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with team members and students alike.

Core Responsibilities:

• Work 1:1 with a preschool student to support learning, behavioral goals, and social development.
• Assist with personal care needs, including toileting and managing hygiene.
• Implement individualized strategies and accommodations outlined by teachers or specialists.
• Foster a safe and encouraging classroom environment.
• Support classroom activities and help facilitate participation for the assigned student.
• Consistently report observations and progress to the primary teacher and related service providers.
