Instructional Aide - Ann Arbor, MI

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Fluent in American Sign Language
• High school diploma required; must provide a transcript (high school or college) if selected
• Previous experience in a school setting as a paraprofessional or similar support role
• Compassion, patience, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, student-centered environment
• Willingness to work closely with educators, students, and families to support individual needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to middle school students utilizing ASL
• Assist with instructional activities, adapting lesson content and materials as needed
• Encourage student participation and foster an inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
• Reinforce learning strategies and facilitate communication between students and staff
• Maintain confidentiality and observe professional boundaries at all times
