Afterschool Program Assistant
During School Day: assists classroom teachers in the conduct of lessons, intervention supports and other classroom activities. During Afterschool Program: supervises students and carry out the lessons and activities while providing a safe and consistent learning environment for students. The Afterschool Program Assistant is a role model, teacher, and coach to students. Afterschool Program Assistants should strive to motivate, inspire, and support students. Afterschool Program Assistants should be energetic, enthusiastic, and encouraging.
Requirements / Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent AND 48 College Units OR Associate Degree OR passing score on the Para-professional Exam administered by Live Oak Unified School District required. CPR/First Aide Certificate. Ability to work harmoniously with general public, administrators, teachers, staff and students.
