Afterschool Program Assistant
During School Day: assists classroom teachers in the conduct of lessons, intervention supports and other classroom activities. During Afterschool Program: supervises students and carry out the lessons and activities while providing a safe and consistent learning environment for students. The Afterschool Program Assistant is a role model, teacher, and coach to students. Afterschool Program Assistants should strive to motivate, inspire, and support students. Afterschool Program Assistants should be energetic, enthusiastic, and encouraging.
High School diploma or equivalent AND 48 College Units OR Associate Degree OR passing score on the Para-professional Exam administered by Live Oak Unified School District required. CPR/First Aide Certificate. Ability to work harmoniously with general public, administrators, teachers, staff and students.
