Instructional Aide - Elementary School
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
Location: San Francisco, CA
Onsite
Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week
Position Summary
As an Instructional Aide , you will support students and classroom teachers by providing instructional, behavioral, and classroom assistance within both general education and special education settings. You will work one-on-one and with small groups of students to reinforce learning, promote positive behaviors, and help create a safe and engaging classroom environment. Responsibilities

  • Full-Time, 40 hours per week
Key Duties
  • Provide instructional support to individual students and small groups in classroom settings.
  • Reinforce academic, language, and social-emotional learning activities under teacher direction.
  • Assist with classroom preparation, instructional materials, testing accommodations, and curriculum modifications.
  • Support implementation of behavior intervention plans using positive reinforcement techniques.
  • Supervise students during classroom activities, field trips, assemblies, and community-based learning experiences.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education Required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or completion of at least 48 college units
  • Candidates without a qualifying degree must successfully pass the ETS ParaPro Assessment.
Experience
  • Previous paid or volunteer experience working with children in an educational or behavioral support setting preferred.
Skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and school staff.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and classroom technology.
  • Ability to support both in-person and virtual instruction.
  • Bilingual skills are preferred.
