Reports To: Special Education Teacher / Program Administrator
Job Summary:
Supports the instructional and behavioral goals of student with disabilities under the direction and supervision of a certified special education teacher. This role involves assisting with academic instruction, behavior management, classroom organization, and personal care needs to promote an inclusive and effective learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist student with instructional tasks, implementing accommodations and modifications as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Provide one-on-one behavioral/academic needs
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or higher preferred).
Experience working with children.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Work Environment:
This role is primarily based in a classroom setting.
180 Days/29 hours a week
