Relationship ManagerBrown Advisory is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and investment focused individual to join our Global Institutional team as a Relationship Manager in our Baltimore office. The Relationship Manager will serve as the primary contact for a mix of institutional clients, and their investment consultants, and certain U.S. financial intermediaries. The Relationship Manager will deliver high-quality client experience by promptly handling client needs and identifying opportunities to deepen and grow relationships.

The role requires industry knowledge and networks, a strong understanding of the firm's investment strategies, collaboration across teams, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. In this role, the Relationship Manager will collaborate with Sales, Research, Marketing, Legal/Compliance.ResponsibilitiesServe as primary contact for assigned institutional and intermediary clients, ensuring high-quality client experienceDeeply understand each client's objectives, structure, and evolving needs to support long-term relationship success and organic growthLead client engagement (calls, meetings, conferences, etc.), providing concise investment and firm updates often in partnership with the investment teamOwn timely resolution of client inquiries, requests, and issues, ensuring clear communication and strong follow-throughDeepen client relationships through proactive engagement and partnership eventsIdentify and build relationships with other key stakeholders (e.g. field consultants, investment staff, product/platform teams)Articulate the firm's investment strategies and investment platform with clientsPartner with internal teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality service for each clientCollaborate with other Relationship Managers on innovative ideas, best practices, and industry insights; support implementation of improvementsParticipate in team initiatives and special projects that improve processes and the overall client experienceCapture client activity, opportunities, and relationship insights in SalesforceDesire to continuously expand industry knowledge, with a long-term focus on professional growth and pursuing relevant certificationsQualificationsBachelor's Degree5-15 years of relevant experienceExperience working with institutional clients (e.g. pension plans, endowments & foundations) and consultants preferredAbility to work full time in the firm's Baltimore officeAbility to travel for client meetings and eventsStrong communication and presentation skillsTeam-oriented, self-motivated, and proactiveStrong judgment, ability to work under pressure, and highly adaptableStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to balance current client needs with long-term objectivesActs in best interest of each client by understanding their needs and delivering exceptional serviceExperience with CRM systems, preferably SalesforceProficient with Microsoft Office suite of productsAbility to work in our Baltimore officeApplicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization (e.g., H-1B, O-1, F-1 (OPT), TN, or any other non-immigrant visa classifications that require employer support or sponsorship)Salary: $100-150k. Commensurate with experience and location.
