Installation SupervisorThe Installation Supervisor plans, coordinates, and oversees sign installation projects from initial site assessment through final completion. This role leads installation crews in the field, ensures work meets design specifications and local codes, and collaborates closely with internal teams to deliver accurate, high-quality installations that meet customer expectations.ResponsibilitiesPlan, schedule, and oversee all sign installation projects from start to completion, ensuring work stays on time and within scope.Lead and manage installation crews, including providing training, assigning daily tasks, and monitoring performance to maintain high standards of quality and safety.Travel to customer locations using a company truck to conduct site surveys, take measurements, and perform detailed pre-installation assessments.Ensure all installations comply with design specifications, technical drawings, local building codes, safety regulations, and customer requirements.Coordinate closely with production, sales, and project management teams to confirm project readiness, verify measurements, and ensure accuracy of materials and designs before installation.Oversee on-site problem-solving and make real-time decisions to address installation challenges, site constraints, or design discrepancies.Monitor quality control during and after installation to ensure finished work meets internal standards and customer expectations.Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices by identifying process efficiencies and implementing best practices in installation workflows.Manage materials and equipment needed for installations, ensuring crews have the correct tools, hardware, and signage components for each job.Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders and customers regarding project status, timelines, and any issues that arise during installation.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent.3–5+ years of experience in sign installation, construction, or a related field.Experience in sign installation and sign manufacturing, including familiarity with installation techniques, tools, and hardware.Previous supervisory or management experience in an installation, construction, or production environment (preferred but strongly valued).Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, with the ability to safely operate a company truck for travel to customer sites.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and technical drawings.Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, guide, and motivate installation crews.Proven team management skills, including scheduling, performance oversight, and workload coordination.Experience with quality control practices to ensure installations meet design and customer specifications.Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and their application to installation or production environments.Experience in production supervision or supervision in a manufacturing or construction setting.Experience with materials management related to signage or construction projects.Additional Skills & QualificationsTechnical or trade certification related to construction, signage, or a mechanical trade (preferred).Hands-on experience in sign manufacturing processes, including fabrication and assembly, is beneficial.Familiarity with local building codes and safety regulations related to sign installation.Strong problem-solving abilities and confidence in making on-site decisions.Effective communication skills for coordinating with production, sales, and project management teams.Organizational skills to manage multiple projects, schedules, and crews simultaneously.Attention to detail when performing site surveys, measurements, and quality checks.Comfort working in a structured, process-driven environment that emphasizes continuous improvement.Why Work Here?This role offers a direct hire opportunity with long-term stability and the chance to grow within a manufacturing and installation-focused organization.
