Learn more about this unique opportunity below and become part of our team!We are seeking a dynamic 'self starter' Project Manager to help drive an iconic holiday installation in midtown Manhattan as well as production in our Mount Vernon (Westchester) Warehouse.This role will be responsible for aligning in-house Mount Vernon -NY and deliverables (with Executive Show Producer) from September 7 through approximately September 11.
The role will then coordinate collaboration efforts between all 7 partner companies onsite, documenting the overnight installation and strategizing pivots. They will communicate pending actions for the following nights so that during the day, other project partners can advance the project based on needs identified by the Project Manager.This role will be responsible for communicating between all the subcontractors, the client and American Christmas. This role requires someone who is a highly seasoned professional who can get up to speed quickly.Seasonal position - Starting on or about September 7, 2026 through January 30, 2027. Midtown Manhattan outdoor installation work regardless of temperature.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDuring production, (9/7 though approximately 9/14) hours will be Monday through Friday 7:30 AM until 6:00 PM with potential overtime required (including weekends).During installation, (approximately 9/15 through 11/25), and takedown (approximately 1/5 through 1/31), candidates must be onsite for installation and takedown overnights, 6 - 7 days per week . Shifts start at 9:30 PM and typically end around 6:00 AM (with potential desk work and emails following up after that)Approximately 11/25 through 1/4) the candidate will be on call for service calls overnight and should have some meetings and/or other installations to assist.Ensure overall safety and professionalism of our work and crewManage workflow between multiple partners and Saks facilities.Negotiate workflows for all trades to be productive during each shiftRecord details at the end of each shift back to the Executive Show Producer, as well as production team and communicate:Total crew size by tradeStart /finish times as well as breaksAny exceptions or anomalies to the schedule and whyRecommendations based on discoveries in the fieldNeeds or changes for supplies or decor next day / weekTruck equipment onsiteEquipment issues/failuresUpcoming changes in staging or suppliesTrack and project (Via Gantt Chart) overall advancement of milestones in meeting opening dateMediate conflicts among trades as neededProduce overall summary of day to dayInterface with clients and facilities team on locationProficient in Outlook, Wrike (or similar), Excel.Required Skills/Abilities:Impeccably organizedExcellent problem solverOutgoing and ConfidentPOSITIVE ATTITUDE!Superior communication skillsTheatre or event experience is especially helpful.Able to multi task and pivotRiggingElectricalEngineeringRGB lightingAesthetic finesseRun triage on priority of issuesDecisive and direct in presentationExercise common senseCan weigh multiple priorities against correct path forwardThe compensation for this role will be hourly and include a completion bonus at the close of takedown.
