We are seeking a Precast Inspector with PCI Level 1/ 2 Certification
What You’ll Do
- Write daily field reports documenting work performed by contractors and noting compliance or non-compliance with contract documents.
- Provide daily phone updates to the Department Manager regarding project progress.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- As an Inspector at AEIS, you will work on active construction sites and possibly in soils/concrete testing laboratories. This role involves exposure to outdoor weather conditions and physically demanding environments. AEIS will provide all necessary equipment and training.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- This position requires prolonged standing and repetitive physical activity. Candidates must be able to:
- Use hands to handle, finger, or feel objects and equipment.
- Reach, climb, balance, crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel, and sit.
- Maintain close, distance, peripheral, and depth vision, with the ability to focus effectively.
- Drive long distances, potentially hundreds of miles per day.
- Lifting Requirements
- Regularly lift, move, or shake up to 40 lbs.
- Frequently lift and/or move 60–80 lbs.
- Occasionally move more than 100 lbs., such as a loaded wheelbarrow of concrete samples.
Must Haves
- PCI Level 1 or 2 Certification required.
- 3–5 years of experience in precast/concrete inspection or related work.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to read maps, follow directions, and interpret engineering and construction plans
