As Inspection Programming Manager for our Military Aircraft Group, you'll lead a team of programmers responsible for developing and managing inspection programming for machine shop operations. Reporting directly to the Manager, QA Engineering, you will drive performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) while enabling inspection excellence through advanced techniques, standardization, and leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, coach, and develop a team of inspection equipment programmers supporting machine shop operationsPartner with Manufacturing Quality Leadership, including the Inspection Manager and PQE Manager, to drive strategic initiativesSet and execute tactical plans aligned to operational goals for SQDCStandardize inspection programming techniques and tools to reduce programming time and improve efficiencyOptimize inspection processes, equipment utilization, and work-holding techniquesChampion and enforce compliance with internal Systems, Procedures, and Regulatory GuidelinesCollaborate cross-functionally to coordinate necessary support services and resolve barriers to production or qualityIdentify future inspection capacity issues and proactively develop mitigation plansProvide timely communication and reporting to internal stakeholdersSupport product transitions, process changes, and continuous improvement projects on the shop floorFoster a culture of collaboration, operational excellence, and continuous improvementQualifications RequiredMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environmentMinimum 5 years of management experience, including direct team leadership and cross-functional collaborationDemonstrated success in: Leading high-performing technical teamsDriving operational change and process improvementsImplementing Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement strategiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAdvanced knowledge of CMMs and Automated Inspection EquipmentExperience with Zeiss CMM (preferred)PreferredExperience in the aerospace, aviation, or defense manufacturing industryPrior involvement in product transition or new product introduction (NPI) projectsFamiliarity with regulatory and quality systems in a controlled manufacturing environment
