Job TitleSalary: $61,500To support product quality, compliance, and development initiatives by performing testing, inspection, documentation, equipment verification, and regulatory assessments in accordance with company procedures and industry standards.Responsibilities/Duties:Perform setup, testing, and evaluation of finished goods, components, circuitry, modules, and subassemblies used in Pride productsPerform inspections to verify critical dimensional, material, and workmanship specifications for components, assemblies, and equipmentCreate and maintain testing and inspection records by documenting results, compiling data, and generating reportsFollow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and maintain records in accordance with company and departmental procedures supporting Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and compliance checks on test and inspection equipment, ensuring all instruments meet Pride calibration standardsParticipate in special projects, continuous improvement efforts, and Lean initiatives while meeting established deadlinesApply sound business judgment, support design change processes, and assist product research and development activities in support of Pride's business objectivesDevelop and maintain a working knowledge of applicable industry standards, including RESNA, ISO, IEC, IPC, ASTM, and GD&T, to accurately perform product testing, inspection, and verification activitiesDevelop and maintain a working knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements, including FDA, PDAC, ADP, EU MDR, and TGA, to verify product compliance in intended marketsMaintain familiarity with additional regulatory requirements, including FCC, DOE, EPA, DOT, and FAA standards, as applicableDevelop and maintain a working knowledge of Pride testing, inspection, and R&D procedures, as well as technical documentation such as engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), forms, and chartsEnsure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to managementComplete the annual CTPAT Security TrainingFocus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgmentWork effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectationsPride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessaryRequired Skills:Must be a team player, friendly, professional, detail-oriented, and honestMust have the ability to: multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environmentSafely use hand tools and standard power toolsUse testing and inspection equipment which includes calipers, micrometers, GO/NO-GO gauges, height, thread and pin gauges, V-blocks, surface plates, hardness testers, torque testers, electrical testers, optical comparator, digital multimeters and oscilloscopesDesign, develop and document test fixtures and testing protocolsRead and comprehend work instructionsPrepare and present summary reportsLift/push/pull 50 lbs.Must have:Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvementA willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methodsBasic working knowledge of product safety and regulatory requirements such as FDA & OSHABasic working knowledge of hand and standard power toolsBasic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and ExcelExcellent web navigation skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPreferred Skills:Basic understanding of Lean PrinciplesBasic familiarity with American National Standards Institute/Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (ANSI/RESNA), American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standardsRequired Experience:At least 1 year of hands on technical or engineering related experience in a professional or educational environment supporting design, manufacturing, or product verification processesPreferred Experience:At least 1 year of experience building electrical and mechanical test fixturesAt least 1 year of experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferredRequired Education:Bachelor's Degree in EngineeringPreferred Education:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferredAmerican Society for Quality (ASQ) certification preferredRequired Qualifications:Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the futureDetails:This job description is not intended to be all-inclusiveThis is a safety sensitive positionIn exceptional circumstances, some of the physical requirements of this position may be modified or eliminated as a reasonable accommodation for a person with a disability as defined by the Americans with Disabilities ActPride Mobility Products®/Quantum Rehab® is an Equal Opportunity employer.
