H&D Distributors is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Inside Sales Specialist to support our customers and sales team. Key Responsibilities

Customer Support & Technical Sales

• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers via phone, email, and online inquiries.
• Provide product recommendations, technical guidance, pricing, and availability information.
• Collaborate with outside sales representatives, suppliers, and internal departments to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors.

Order Management

• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Review orders for completeness, pricing accuracy, delivery requirements, and special instructions.
• Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Resolve order discrepancies and communicate updates to customers.

Contract Review & Compliance

• Review customer contracts, purchase orders, terms and conditions, and vendor agreements.
• Identify contractual requirements, exceptions, risks, and special compliance obligations.
• Ensure customer requirements are accurately communicated and executed throughout the organization.
• Maintain documentation and records related to contracts, customer agreements, and order requirements.

Communication & Coordination

• Act as a liaison between customers, sales, operations, purchasing, and management.
• Communicate clearly and professionally regarding order status, technical requirements, timelines, and issue resolution.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum 5 years of experience in an Inside Sales, Customer Service, Sales Support, Contracts Administration, or similar role within an industrial, manufacturing, distribution, or technical products environment.
• Strong experience reviewing contracts, customer purchase orders, terms and conditions, or commercial agreements.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and business software.

Preferred

• Experience in industrial distribution, hydraulics, pneumatics, sealing products, automation, or related technical products.
• Familiarity with contract compliance, commercial terms, and customer specifications.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as Epicor, NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
