Inpatient Psychiatrist

Mount Sinai West is seeking a talented General Adult Psychiatrist for its Inpatient Psychiatric services. This role offers the opportunity to join the Icahn School of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry, a nationally recognized leader in mental health research and treatment. • Inpatient Psychiatric services
• Mount Sinai Behavioral Health service line encompasses clinical behavioral health services at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, Mount Sinai Hospital, Mount Sinai St. Luke's, Mount Sinai West and Mount Sinai Queens
• Over 350 inpatient behavioral health beds and 4 psychiatric emergency locations (CPEP/Psych ED)
• Mount Sinai Behavioral West campus serves as a major teaching site for the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai
• Units specialize in sub-populations (i.e., geriatric)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with colleagues as an integral part of a health system
• Benefit from the education, research, and clinical program of Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai

Compensation

• Compensation range from $255,000 to $295,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)
• Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need
• The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible Psychiatrist
• Possess NYS license to practice medicine
• At least one-year post-residency experience in inpatient/emergency psychiatry services preferred
• Excellent clinical knowledge and communication skills required
• Outstanding teaching skills
• Must possess highly collaborative and proactive approach, and demonstrate commitment to high-quality, cost-effective health care
• A strong work ethic and desire to participate in and grow a team-oriented, performance-driven department
• Qualifications for Assistant Professor or higher level required
