Inpatient Psychiatrist

Northwell Health is seeking a full-time BE/BC Inpatient Psychiatrist to join the Behavioral Health Hospitalist team at Staten Island University Hospital. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment within one of Staten Island's most active comprehensive mental health centers. The ideal candidate will contribute to providing comprehensive psychiatric care and stabilizing patients with acute psychiatric disorders.

• Staten Island University Hospital’s Department of Behavioral Health Sciences provides comprehensive psychiatric care in a private, patient-centered environment.
• The 35-bed inpatient unit provides short-term hospital care to evaluate and stabilize patients with acute psychiatric disorders.
• The department handles over 1,450 discharges per year.
• Staten Island University Hospital is a 714-bed teaching institution and a major affiliate of the SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn.
• Serves as a clinical campus for The Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Supervise residents and teach medical students.
