Inpatient Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (Contract Position)

Pay: $80.00 - $160.00 per hour
Schedule: M-F, 3-4 hours daily
Duration: Late July 2026 – 4 months

Compass Palliative Care, a leading California-based palliative care provider, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our inpatient team for a 4-month coverage assignment beginning in late July 2026 . Our practice provides palliative services in the hospital setting in the Culver City area.

This role is ideal for clinicians seeking a meaningful, short-term inpatient opportunity with flexibility, strong clinical support, and the option for continued per diem work after the assignment.

This is a Monday through Friday, part time position that requires 3-4 hours of rounding daily. We are pleased to offer FLEXIBLE HOURS .

The practitioner will be assigned a specific patient load for which they will be responsible. Our palliative program is run by experienced and board-certified physicians who take pride in providing training and in-service education to their staff. They believe in the advancement of their staff as well as creating the best possible outcomes for the patients they serve.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients
• Provide palliative care to best treat the patient
• Define and document patient diagnoses
• Assure all patients are completely satisfied
• Patient and family education and management
• Notate findings and treatment course in patient chart, including follow-up notes
• Actively participate in departmental activities to improve training methods and achieve company goals
