Overview
Inpatient Orthopedics, Days - 8 hours, APP (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) - Inpatient Orthopedics for Ortho Trauma at Stanford Health Care, Palo Alto, CA. This is a dedicated inpatient role covering Ortho Trauma in a hospital-based orthopedic team.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for pre- and post-surgical inpatients across the ortho trauma service.
- Perform floor management including daily patient assessments, coordinating care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
- Lead and document admissions, discharges, and transition-of-care planning.
- Work closely with attending surgeons, residents, and nursing staff to deliver seamless, high-quality inpatient care.
- Help drive patient outcomes and contribute to a team committed to continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Experience with ortho trauma is highly preferred (fellowship, clerkship, or hands-on clinical experience).
- Strong background in inpatient care, ideally within orthopedic surgery or ortho trauma.
- Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining clinical accuracy and compassion.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- No OR responsibilities; this position is focused solely on inpatient care.

Education & Licenses
- Education : Bachelor\u2019s degree in Nursing or as required for PA; PA program accreditation per standards. Note: PAs hired prior to July 1, 2012 are not subject to this educational requirement except as specified.
- Licenses & Certifications : PA licensure, BLS, DEA. Additional requirements as applicable.

Compensation
Base pay scale: Generally starting at $86.41 - $114.50 per hour. Final salary is determined by factors including experience, education, specialty, and training.
