Inpatient Hematologist Oncologist – 7d on / 7d off
Position: Inpatient Hematologist/Oncologist at Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, Jacksonville, Florida.
Job Summary: Provide continuity of highest‑quality cancer care to hospitalized patients as part of the Onco‑hospitalist Program. Work with a multidisciplinary team of specialists and palliative care providers. Handle new diagnoses, hematology/oncology consultations, and inpatient cancer therapy. Flexible schedule of 7 days on / 7 days off. Opportunities for leadership and an adjunct academic appointment at the University of Texas, MD‑Anderson Cancer Center.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver inpatient oncology care to hospitalized patients.
- Consult on new diagnoses, hematology/oncology issues, and inpatient therapy plans.
- Collaborate with specialists from various clinical disciplines and palliative care.
- Participate in programmatic development, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain documentation and quality standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- MD or DO degree.
- Board‑eligible or board‑certified in Medical Oncology or Hematology/Oncology.
- Active or unrestricted medical license in Florida.
- DEA license.
- Strong clinical record and commitment to inpatient care.
Education Required
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent.
Licensing & Certification
- Mandated Florida medical license.
- Mandated DEA license.
- Mandated board accreditation in Hematology/Oncology.
