Inpatient Geriatric Psychiatrist

The Department of Psychiatry and Psychology within the Neurological Institute at Cleveland Clinic is looking for full‑time inpatient geriatric psychiatrists in Northeast Ohio. Board‑certified or board‑eligible for geropsychiatry is required. The role includes inpatient care, niche outpatient work with centers such as Parkinson’s disease, dementia, stroke, TBI, and physical medicine, as well as teaching opportunities for students, residents, and fellows.

Additional Information

The Department has 137 behavioral health providers, including more than 57 psychiatrists, and provides comprehensive outpatient, consultation‑liaison, intensive outpatient, and inpatient psychiatry resources. We have 200 inpatient psychiatry beds, with 50 geropsychiatry units across Lutheran and Marymount hospitals.

The Psychiatric Treatment Resistant Program offers advanced therapies such as TMS, DBS, ketamine, and psychedelics, along with the largest ECT program in NEO. Research opportunities exist in centers funded by NIH and other agencies, including Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, Dementia with Lewy Bodies Consortium, Parkinson’s Foundation Center of Excellence, and clinical trials.

In January 2027 the Department will relocate to a new state‑of‑the‑art Neurological Institute building.

Compensation

Minimum salary: $275,000

Maximum salary: $403,000
