Inpatient Coding Quality Specialist

To enhance coding accuracy and compliance, the full-time Inpatient Coding Quality Specialist will monitor, assess, and improve coding processes and documentation while working remotely during standard business hours. Key responsibilities Develop and implement coding quality assurance programs to evaluate the accuracy and compliance of medical coding practices Analyze medical records and documentation to assess the adequacy and specificity of coding support Deliver coding education and training programs to enhance knowledge and accuracy among coders and healthcare professionals Required qualifications Associate's Degree in Medical Billing and Coding required 5+ years of medical coding experience required 1+ years of quality assurance experience preferred Strong inpatient coding experience, preferably in an academic facility ICD-10 PCS coding experience required
