Working remotely, the full-time Inpatient Coding Coordinator will code diagnoses and procedures for inpatient accounts according to ICD-10-CM/PCS, assist with second-level coding reviews, and provide education to coders on correct coding practices. Key responsibilities Performs second-level coder reviews on accounts returned from audits and coding editors Educates coders on correct coding based on second-level reviews and assists with coding inquiries Codes inpatient accounts as needed and monitors DNFC management goals alongside the coding manager Required qualifications Associates Degree in Health Information Management RHIT or CCS certification 3-5 years of acute hospital coding experience Proficient in MS Office suite Ability to analyze coding-related reports and take appropriate action
