Inpatient Coding Compliance Specialist

To support compliance initiatives within the Patient Revenue Management Organization, the full-time Inpatient Coding Compliance Specialist will implement and maintain compliance programs, conduct internal audits, and educate providers on government regulations, all while working remotely. Key responsibilities Implement and maintain compliance programs in line with government regulations and guidelines Conduct routine internal audits of provider documentation and identify coding and billing risk areas Educate providers on compliance matters, particularly related to Medicare and Medicaid guidelines Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field Four years of administrative experience in compliance, coding, and auditing principles Two years of experience with DRG's and APR-DRG's for technical coding RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification required; CPC or CPMA preferred Experience in formal teaching of coding is preferred
