To ensure accurate coding and data integrity, the full-time Inpatient Coder - Remote will be responsible for coding and abstracting clinical information from medical records, maintaining coding standards, and assisting with quality reviews and training of new coders. Key responsibilities Accurately code and abstract clinical information from medical records for assigned Tenet facilities Maintain standards for coding data quality and productivity within established guidelines Assist with quality chart reviews and the training of new coders as needed Required qualifications Associates or higher-level degree in a Health Information Management discipline Successful completion of at least one AHIMA certified program with the corresponding professional credential preferred (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, etc.) 1-3 years of inpatient coding experience Skilled and working knowledge of MS Office suite Strong technical background and electronic medical record experience
