Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Inpatient Coder II will code all inpatient accounts, including ICD-10 diagnoses and PCS procedures, while ensuring accuracy and adherence to coding guidelines. Key responsibilities: Code all diagnoses and procedures by assigning and verifying the proper ICD-10-CM and PCS codes based on medical record reviews Review coding for accuracy and completeness prior to submission, utilizing standard coding guidelines and CCI edits Maintain productivity statistics and participate in monthly coding meetings to suggest operational improvements Required qualifications: High School diploma or GED equivalent Two years of hospital coding experience Completion of an AHIMA or AACP-certified Coding program or equivalent, including relevant coursework Experience with PCS codes is preferred Coursework in Pharmacology and Pathophysiology is required
