Inpatient Clinical Specialist

To support a growing healthcare team, the full-time Inpatient Clinical Specialist will work remotely from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, or Utah, focusing on researching and managing inpatient utilization management cases while collaborating with licensed health professionals. Key responsibilities Utilize clinical knowledge to research and review inpatient utilization management requests, ensuring completeness and taking necessary actions Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate compliance with regulatory and quality standards Organize and maintain reference documents and contribute to continuous improvement within systems and workflows Required qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Clinical experience is required, with a preference for at least 2 years in an inpatient hospital setting CMA or CNA certification is preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and coding, including CPT, DX, and HCPCs Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with healthcare systems, EMRs, and documentation
