A law firm seeks an Innovation Counsel to join their Practice Innovation team in San Diego. Duties
- Support legal technology adoption initiatives impacting practice groups.
- Design playbooks for best practices in innovation technologies.
- Organize presentations, status reports, and executive briefings.
- Collaborate with leadership on initiative prioritization processes.
- Develop objectives and success metrics for technology adoption.
- Analyze practice group workflows to identify improvement areas.
- Drive legal technology pilots and continuous improvements.
- Assist change management teams in developing communication campaigns.
- Maintain practice group-specific resources and automate efforts.
Requirements
- 4+ years of applicable experience in legal practice or technology adoption.
- Active bar membership or registered in-house counsel status.
- Experience in cross-functional projects involving legal technology.
- Understanding of large law firm financial and work allocation processes.
Education
Juris Doctorate or non-US equivalent.
Certifications
Active member in good standing of the bar(s) in applicable jurisdictions.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and firm applications.
- Ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Experience with technology usage data and metrics.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
