Innovation Associate

The Innovation function is responsible for identifying, developing, assessing, and launching innovative products and solutions that support the company’s growth targets, while maximizing long-term revenue and profit. This role supports the end-to-end innovation strategic growth process from concept development through to commercialization, path to market, to execution, with a focus on research and strategic analysis.

We have been retained to find a Strategic Growth Associate. This individual will be responsible for building strong business cases, evaluating potential technology and strategic partners, and driving the solicitation of cross-functional input and collaboration across Finance, Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Technical Engineering teams.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

·       Prepare comprehensive industry overviews in a standardized format summarizing market structure, key players, competitive dynamics, supply chains, and growth drivers within targeted segments of the building products market.

·       Determine addressable markets for various products or solutions and identify target markets for future penetration.

·       Develop structured theses around promising growth & innovation opportunities, outlining the problem, market need, technical feasibility, potential solutions/path to market, and commercial value.

·       Present insights to senior leadership to inform strategic planning and innovation priorities.

·       Support decision-making through data-driven analysis, financial considerations, and risk assessment.

·       Facilitate the end-to-end execution of strategic growth projects, including project planning, resource allocation, business case development, testing, and execution, on time and on budget.

Requirements & Preferred Competencies

·       Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business or similar- MBA preferred

·       1-5  years of business development, financial analysis, consulting

·       Experience distilling detailed market research into structured reports and creating comprehensive business cases, including market sizing and financial modeling.

·       Experience utilizing strategic frameworks like Porter's Five Forces, SWOT, etc., for decision making.

·       Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

·       Demonstrable quantitative and process-oriented aptitude.
