Process EngineerThe Process Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining ISO compliant processing standards for both production and development. You will work with all levels of the organization to develop and manage injection molding processes including, mold setting, process development and execution, material handling procedures, troubleshooting, and statistical analysis. Must have leadership skills that are consistent and decisive while maintaining a mentoring/coaching environment.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesBe a liaison between manufacturing and engineeringResponsible for training of technical resourcesUse Lean/Six Sigma methodologies for process development and problem solvingMaintain associated metrics for respective areaResponsible for optimizing cycle times, reducing scrap, and reducing downtimeParticipate on teams that require technical expertiseResponsible for creating and maintaining associated department proceduresMaintain a high level of professionalismMonitor processes and ensure accurate execution of defined processesResponsible for level of quality produced by the departmentPromote a high level of communication between departments to execute customer ordersPromote and participate actively in continuous improvementDevelop growth and development plans for personnelMaintain working relationships with other department managers and personnelAssess equipment and personnel requirements for department and make/implement necessary changesPerform other tasks as directed by managerOvertime is requiredSome travel may be required on occasionSupervisory ResponsibilitiesNoneQualificationsAbility to interpret part prints, quality plans, work instructions, and apply the knowledge appropriatelyAbility to develop and write work procedures and train personnelProficient in use of Office software including word processing and spreadsheetsMust possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills to interact within all levels of the organizationWorking knowledge of CAD/Solid works and Mold flowExperience with Engineered and High-temp resinsDemonstrated experience in formalized problem solvingAbility to program robots and exchange end-of-arm toolingWorking knowledge of ISO Education and/or ExperienceHigh School Diploma requiredBachelor's Degree or equivalent technical training/experienceProcess Engineering experience of 3-5 years minimumLean/Six Sigma training/certificationMathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divideAbility to perform complex applications of percentages and averages and ratiosReasoning AbilityAbility to deal with ambiguous situations, make decisions and take charge of production situations with clear and calm demeanorCertificates, Licenses, RegistrationsCertificate of supervisory training preferredSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt training preferredPhysical DemandsExtended hours sitting and viewing a computer screen, repetitive hand and wrist movementsStanding, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, lifting up to 100 pounds occasionallyWork EnvironmentManufacturing environment with associated noises, smells and temperatures
