Your Opportunity

Come and act in the collective interest by joining our fire protection, building mechanical expertise team in our Longueuil, Montreal, Laval, Quebec offices or remotely. You will be a key player in our great team and participate in the design and realization of various projects throughout Quebec, Canada and even overseas, in institutional, industrial or commercial environments for local and/or international clients. Major building projects are multiplying in Quebec. We work in a professional and collaborative environment where we do our best to imagine innovative solutions to complex problems. If you are an engineer in fire protection and want to evolve and thrive within a dynamic, stable team carrying out complex, multidisciplinary projects, this opportunity could be for you! Your main tasks will be to complete, within established budgets and deadlines, projects of different scopes in the field of fire protection. You will be able to develop your expertise by participating in complex fire protection systems projects (Water, Water Mist, Foam, Gas, etc.) with important clients in institutional, commercial, industrial and transport environments.

Your Responsibilities
  • Realize project designs in building mechanics in fire protection;
  • Realize plans and hydraulic calculations based on NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards;
  • Realize certain expertise in the field of fire protection and produce reports;
  • Prepare estimates, plans and quotations for bids;
  • Perform field surveys;
  • Ensure the quality of work on site, perform site visits and participate in site meetings.

Your Keys to Success
  • Knowledge of NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards;
  • Knowledge of HydraCalc software;
  • Ability to perform and interpret hydraulic calculations;
  • Good understanding of fire safety engineering principles;
  • ASP construction card (advantage);
  • Excellent skills in analysis, problem solving and priority setting;
  • Knowledge of English is an asset to facilitate collaboration with our internal teams outside Quebec or with clients.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or other relevant training;
  • 2 years of experience in fire protection;
  • Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ).
