Overview

Seeking an Infusion Nurse to deliver direct patient care for individuals participating in research protocols. This role involves administering treatments, performing study-related procedures, and collaborating with the research team to ensure protocol compliance.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and investigational agents to research participants in accordance with study protocols and regulations.
• Perform venipuncture, obtain blood specimens, insert IVs, and manage venous access devices, including central lines.
• Collect ECGs and monitor vital signs as required by research protocols.
• Educate patients about clinical trial participation, treatment administration, and potential side effects.
• Collaborate with the study team to ensure completion of all protocol-required procedures, drug administration, labs, and assessments.
• Document all patient care activities and study-related procedures accurately and in a timely manner.
• Utilize professional judgment and decision-making skills in planning and providing patient care.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and standards related to clinical research and patient safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in the practicing state.
• 2 - 4 years of experience in peripheral IV insertion and management of venous access devices.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification preferred.
• Clinical trial and oncology experience preferred. xzgxqkn
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Teams, Excel, and Word preferred.
