Oncology RN Opportunity in Baltimore, MD

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: Minimum 2 years RN experience License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS certification, Chemotherapy certification (e.g., OCN) Must-Have: - Chemotherapy experience - Proficient with IV insertion Description: The RN provides safe, high-quality nursing care to oncology and non-oncology patients in a fast-paced ambulatory infusion setting. Responsibilities include administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biologics, blood products, and supportive therapies. Continuous patient monitoring and rapid response to infusion reactions and emergent situations are essential. Ongoing patient education is a critical component of the role. The candidate must be proficient in IV insertion. Preferred Qualifications: Ambulatory infusion experience is a plus. Experience with electronic medical records is advantageous. Travel nursing experience is also preferred. Core Competencies: Peripheral IV insertion and blood draws. Access, maintenance, and de-access of central lines (PICC, ports, CVCs). Comprehensive patient assessment skills. Management of infusion reactions and urgent clinical changes. Ability to provide patient and caregiver education. Schedule: Monday to Friday with five 8-hour shifts. Staggered shifts: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. No weekends or holidays. The role involves care for both chemotherapy and non-oncology patients.
