Infrastructure Technician IIDuration - 12 Months Contract with possible extension or hirePay Rate - #####/hr. on W2Shifts - Mon-Fri 8:00am - 5:00pm (OT required as needed nights/ and up to 2 weekends per month; on call rotation Every other month)Location:Mobile Worker - Dallas/Fort Worth TX60% of the time Dallas/Fort Worth, TX metro area40% of the time supporting all of TX, OK, and ARJob Summary:The Infrastructure Technician II performs skilled infrastructure/structured cabling work in the installation, service and maintenance, repair and alteration of low voltage category cabling, fiber optic cabling, communications cabling and other various low voltage cabling systems.Roles & Responsibilities:Complete physical installations and removal of structured cabling components, cabinets, pathway systems (cable tray), move equipment, racks, and related communications infrastructure materials.Lead the installation and service of low voltage category cabling, fiber optic cabling, communications cabling, communication equipment and other various low voltage related systems such as Category 3, Category 5, Enhanced Category 5, Category 6 and Fiber Optic Structured Cable Distribution Systems.Perform basic network/desktop troubleshootingDe-install/install desktop and VOIP phonesRepresent Black Box in client meetings to ensure that all parties are consistently updated on work progress and client expectations are being met.Assist with material control to make sure that technicians have all materials needed to complete their work.Ensure Black Box quality and safety guidelines are being followed.Communication and reporting of daily activity completed for run books and project task logs, and assessment of completing task in the time allotted for completion.Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot cabling infrastructure systems and perform repairs as necessary.Perform site survey, document findings for submittal to sales engineering regarding requirements and needs.Engage in internal planning to optimize Black Box’s ability to complete the project within established guidelines.Execute project milestones and test plans.Complete project closeout deliverable packages, Test Results, As-Built, Pictures, and Quality Audits.Travel to client sites as needed to complete assigned work and transport a variety of items (e.g. tools, equipment, supplies, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at client site.Education Requirements:Preferred: Associate degree or Certification in a technology services/technical discipline, or equivalent work experience such as:CNET CNCI,BICSI Installer (INST1),BICSI Installer 2 copper/fiber (INSTC/INSTF)BICSI Technician (TECH)Manufacturer certificationsExperience Requirements:3+ years of combined experience in a Field Support Technician and/or Infrastructure Technician role (or similar)Installing & troubleshooting copper cablingBasic network trouble shootingExperience as a Field technician comfortable with travel requirementsValid DL with a dependable vehicle that can support up to a 6 ft ladderInstalling & troubleshooting copper cabling & fiber jumpersBasic network/desktop trouble shootingInstall VOIP phonesFamiliarity with ticketing systems (i.
