In addition, the Infrastructure Systems Engineer is responsible for the installation, monitoring, patching and associated troubleshooting for Analysis Group. This position is also responsible for analyzing and resolving server hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion and providing end user training where required.Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:Installing, configuring, and maintaining physical and virtual servers and networksManaging virtual machines in the data center and the cloudWorking with Information Security to manage updates, patches, and access rules using automation tools whenever possibleOverseeing system performance and proactively troubleshooting issues using SolarWinds or similar health monitoring toolsTroubleshoot hardware and software errors, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues using ServiceNow and JiraHandling back-up procedures for on-prem and cloud-based systemsCreate and maintain technical documentationMaintain asset management, including system inventory and related documentation and technical specificationsParticipate in 24x7 on-call rotation to troubleshoot and resolve critical issuesExperience creating and maintaining an automated disaster recovery process is a plusQualifications:Minimum of 3 years of substantive relevant work experience required, 5+ years preferredExperience with Dell and Pure storageProven experience and success with virtualization (VMWare or equivalent)Proven technical knowledge of current server hardware, protocols, and Internet standardsExcellent hardware troubleshooting experienceStrong knowledge of systems, server software, hardware, and networking protocolsExperience with scripting and automation toolsStrong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skillsAble to conduct research into system issues and products as requiredProven analytical and problem-solving abilitiesFirm understanding of Windows system administration and security required, additional experience with Linux will be helpfulExperience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Familiarity with Jira is helpfulSystem administration and IT certifications in Microsoft, Linux or other network related fields are a plusExperience with Dell and/or Cisco blade chassisEligible candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship or restriction, now and in the futureAnalysis Group embraces equal opportunity. The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000-$140,000. Compensation offered will be based on a number of factors including work experience, education, and skill level.
