Insight Global is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer II to support and modernize a hybrid infrastructure environment while helping drive the organization's transition to a standardized Azure operating model.
This role combines hands-on infrastructure operations, including systems administration, monitoring, patch management, backups, disaster recovery, and incident response, with cloud-focused initiatives such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Azure Landing Zones, governance, and automated deployment pipelines.
Salary: $125,000 - $150,000
Location: Glen Allen, VA
Schedule: Hybrid (2 days remote, 3 days onsite)
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of infrastructure engineering and systems administration experience
- 3+ years working in hybrid cloud environments, primarily Microsoft Azure
- Experience with Azure compute, storage, identity, monitoring, and hybrid integration solutions
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, or similar Infrastructure as Code tools
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills in complex Azure and on-premises environments
- Experience with Azure Landing Zones, management groups, policies, RBAC, and subscription governance
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions pipelines
- Experience supporting Windows and Linux systems, Active Directory, DNS, patching, monitoring, and backup/recovery solutions
- Experience with Veeam, Rubrik, or similar disaster recovery platforms
- Azure Administrator Associate certification or equivalent Azure certification
