Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Systems & Network Administrator to join a growing organization in Cary, NC. This individual will be responsible for the administration, security, support, and continuous improvement of the company's IT infrastructure. This is not a managerial role. We are looking for a technical professional who enjoys working across servers, virtualization, networking, security, cloud services, and end-user support.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with broad infrastructure experience who can independently troubleshoot issues, implement solutions, and support both day-to-day operations and long-term technology initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft Windows Server environments.
• 5+ years supporting virtualization technologies, preferably Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Strong experience with Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Solid understanding of: TCP/IP, VLANs, Routing & Switching, DNS, DHCP
• Experience managing enterprise firewall platforms and security policies.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting IPsec and SSL VPN solutions.
• Knowledge of Windows Server clustering and high-availability technologies.
• Experience supporting server hardware, storage systems, and enterprise backup platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, networking, and end-user environments.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, endpoint protection, patch management, and access controls.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong firewall administration experience - Fortinet preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Hyper-V expertise.
• Experience with Windows Server Failover Clustering.
• Microsoft 365 administration experience.
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Enterprise backup and disaster recovery experience.
• Experience supporting VoIP platforms
