Infrastructure Engineer IIIODW Logistics is a people-focused and customer-driven third-party logistics (3PL) provider committed to delivering seamless end-to-end supply chain solutions. Our extensive range of services include supply chain design and innovation, warehousing, efficient distribution and fulfillment, freight brokerage, transportation management, and specialized e-commerce fulfillment solutions.The Infrastructure Engineer III is responsible for independently ensuring the efficient operation of in-house information systems to support core organizational functions. This position will create strategic workflows, mentor others on the team and serve as the subject-matter expert. They will research and develop new solutions to further extend the knowledge of the Service team.Essential ResponsibilitiesProvide direction in infrastructure system deployment and maintenanceDesign, supervise and participate in technology and platform implementations to support corporate network, server, application and voice infrastructureAssist with ensuring high availability of infrastructure systems that support internal employee functions and external customer contactCollaborate with IT leadership, executive team members, decision makers and stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goalsCreate and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software and operating systemsAssess the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop new strategies to improve themPerform cost-benefit and ROI analyses for proposed systems to aid management in decision-makingInteract and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers and contractors to secure system-related products and servicesConduct server and security audits, system backup procedures, company disaster recoveries and other strategiesMaintain documentation relevant to system configuration, standard processes and service recordsComplete in-depth tests and end-user reviews for modified and new systemsMonitor/test system performance and assist with training to end users for all systemsAll other duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsThese may be representative, but not all-inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
