Infrastructure EngineerGenesis10 is currently seeking an Infrastructure Engineer for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Chandler, AZ, Charlotte, NC or Plano, TX. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.Operating within a platform engineering team, this role is responsible for designing and delivering infrastructure tools and services that enable business strategies. The individual will focus on building and evolving a self-service platform that enables internal technology teams to deploy and operate services securely, consistently, and efficiently in a regulated financial environment. This position is a key contributor to the creation of reusable infrastructure services, Terraform modules, and automated delivery pipelines.Responsibilities:Assist in translating business and platform requirements into technical definitions, reference architectures, Terraform modules, and reusable platform patternsDesign, build, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to provision services in a scalable, consistent, and compliant mannerContribute to the development of a self-service platform, creating standardized golden paths and templatesDevelop and maintain automation and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub ActionsEmbed security-by-design principles into platform servicesSupport implementation of governance and guardrails, ensuring infrastructure complies with internal security, risk, and regulatory requirementsDevelop software and automation solutions to eliminate manual processes and improve platform usability, reliability, and operational efficiencyCollaborate with Technical Analysts, Infrastructure Engineers, and application teamsLeverage AI/ML services to accelerate platform developmentDevelop and maintain Python-based automation and tooling (e.g., AWS Lambda-based workflows)Contribute to building event-driven and serverless platform componentsAct as a subject matter contributor within Terraform and platform engineering practicesContribute to observability and operational excellence, including monitoring, alerting, and continuous improvement of platform reliability and resilienceRequirements:Significant experience writing Hashicorp Terraform configurations and modulesExperience with Terraform Enterprise (TFE) tool for resource provisioningExperience in DevOps and GitOps models with infra-as-code, config-as-code, policy-as-code, etc.Proficient in translating designs into fully developed Terraform codeSolid understanding of cloud networking concepts, subnets, routing, load balancing, firewalls, and cloud securityExperience in enterprise-scale environments, building highly available IaaS and PaaS solutionsUnderstanding of landing zones, cloud-native security, monitoring and logging tools, and Well-Architected Framework principalsExperience with container-related technologies and CI/CD tools like JenkinsExperience in programming and infra-automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, Java, or PythonProficient in at least one scripting language (i.e., Bash, Python)Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsDegree in Computer Science or a related disciplineMinimum 5 years of Cloud Automation Engineer working experienceDesired skills:Experience in the financial services industryExperience in various public cloud service providersExperience on technology and infrastructure teamsExperience in Linux/UNIX system administrationExperience with Container technologies (Kubernetes, Openshift, Docker)Pay range: $60.24 - $68.24 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!Ranked a Top Staffing Firm in the U.S. by Staffing Industry Analysts for six consecutive years, Genesis10 puts thousands of consultants and employees to work across the United States every year in contract, contract-for-hire, and permanent placement roles.
