Infrastructure EngineerJob Location: Carlsbad, CA (4 days onsite)Employment Type: C2HKey Technology: Hardware/Software Support, AutomationJob Responsibilities:Troubleshoot and triage system alerts for senior level issues.Work closely with the lab and engineering teams to operate and maintain simulated commercial airline test environmentsSupport, develop, and maintain virtual and physical aircraft test equipment, as well as manage lab resources, and other responsibilities to ensure the highest level of quality the labs provideSkills and Experience Required:Required:Able to troubleshoot and triage system alerts for senior level issues.Experience with typical application landscape within an enterprise data center environmentExperience with implementing and maintaining virtualized environments (e.g. VMware)Strong experience with Linux and Windows system administration including security and patch management.Solid understanding of networking principles including networking protocols, basic routing, ports, and firewallsExperience with supporting hardware (Client servers, NetApp storage, and multi-vendor network devices) in virtualized environmentsScripting and automation skills - Python, PowerShell, PowerCLI or equivalentExperience monitoring network storage space and capacity usageAble to identify manual, repetitive, tactical operational workloads and develop automation scripts, tools, and/or frameworks to optimize and standardize.Ability to work across multi-functional teamsCan function independently and mentor junior engineersTroubleshoot and resolve complex issues in heterogeneous environments for engineers and customersStrong organizational skillsAbility to work on a geographically distributed teamGood written and oral communication skillsMust be able to travel (10%)Desired:Knowledge or experience with tools such as Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, DockerContinuous Integration & Deployment (CI/CD) training or DevOps experienceAdministration of NAS Filers including NetAppVMWare orchestration/ vRealize automation experienceDebugging networking tools experience (i.e. WireShark)Experience supporting tools, networks, labs, and related support applications in an Engineering or Enterprise environment as well as its underlying support tools.Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
