The principles and drills of the CANOO Way have been fundamental to our success, our ability to grow, continuously improve, innovate and are at the core of our day-to-day operations.Job PurposeThe Infotainment Software Test Engineer will be responsible for planning, conducting and reviewing testing activities to ensure the correct operation of the vehicle infotainment systems and driver Apps.Responsibilities (80s of the Position)Plan, Develop and execute test cases for infotainment systems and driver appsSpecify and plan installation of test equipment and facilitiesDevelop scripts to automate the User InterfaceVerify all infotainment related features and functions before software is deployed to customer vehiclesCreate Test to requirements coverage matrix for infotainment featuresAutomation of test cases and test environment to achieve "lights out" testingSupport debug of software issues at HIL bench and vehicle levelSupport testing across all vehicle areasFind software bugs through manual testing, automated scripting and report investigationRequired ExperienceBachelors degree in Software engineering, Electrical/Electronic engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent3+ years of experience in automotive electronics including, Navigation systems, phone connectivity, Bluetooth, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Radio and MultimediaExperience with major operating systems (Windows, Mac OS, Android, iOS)Good understanding of infotainment related use cases/user stores for vehicle app, navigation, comfort, Productivity, Entertainment from OEMsCapable of carrying out wiring/debugging HIL issuesExperience working in Polarion and JIRAExperience with low-level and high-level programming languages (C/C++ and Python preferred)Preferred ExperienceOEM or Tier 1 supplier experienceExperience with HIL tools such as Dspace/NI/Tracetronic ECUTEST/Vector CANoeSW testing certificationsTravel RequirementsList any travel requirements for the role: NonePhysical Requirements for Non-Physical PositionsWhile performing the duties of this job, employees may be required to sit for prolonged periods of time, occasionally bending or stooping, lifting up to 10 pounds, and prolonged periods of computer use.
