Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on IT Manager to oversee IT operations, lead a small technical team, and provide exceptional support to approximately 300 end users. This individual will manage three direct reports while remaining actively involved in troubleshooting, infrastructure management, and day-to-day technical support.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with a customer-first mindset and enjoys working in an environment where white-glove support, responsiveness, and problem-solving are critical. The organization is also working toward modernizing its infrastructure and migrating systems to Microsoft Azure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily IT operations and supervise a team of three IT professionals.
• Provide hands-on, white-glove technical support to approximately 300 end users, including executive leadership.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues, including hardware, software, networking, and application troubleshooting.
• Support and maintain a hybrid infrastructure consisting of on-premises servers, virtualization technologies, cloud services, and legacy applications.
• Assist with the ongoing migration of infrastructure and applications to Microsoft Azure.
• Oversee Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and related technologies.
• Support virtualized infrastructure, including VMware and hyperconverged technologies.
• Troubleshoot and maintain legacy business applications and coordinate with vendors when necessary.
• Oversee endpoint management and mobile device support, particularly iPhones and other Apple devices.
• Support network infrastructure, firewalls, email security, and backup and recovery solutions.
• Maintain IT security best practices, system reliability, and business continuity.
• Identify opportunities to improve IT processes, infrastructure performance, and overall end-user experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive IT experience, including experience managing or leading technical teams.
• Strong hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, and end-user support.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and Active Directory.
• Familiarity with VMware or comparable virtualization platforms.
• Experience supporting legacy applications and hybrid cloud/on-premises environments.
• Working knowledge of networking, firewalls, backup solutions, and security technologies such as Barracuda.
• Familiarity with Linux environments is beneficial.
• Experience supporting mobile devices, particularly iPhones, and mobile device management solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a willingness to remain actively involved in break/fix support.
• Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to white-glove customer service.
