Information Technology Associate (Junior)The Information Technology Associate (Junior) provides foundational technical support for Navy information systems, networks, and end-user environments. This role assists in maintaining system functionality, supporting users, and ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity standards. The position operates within a structured team environment and contributes to daily IT operations supporting mission-critical Navy systems.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and peripheral devicesSupport routine system updates, patches, and maintenance activitiesMonitor system performance and report irregularities or issuesDiagnose and resolve basic hardware, software, and connectivity issuesProvide technical assistance to users, including account support and system access troubleshootingSupport onboarding/offboarding activities, including account provisioning and device setupAssist with basic network configuration and connectivity supportSupport maintenance of network devices and assist in troubleshooting connectivity issuesMonitor system and network health under guidance from senior staffMaintain accurate documentation of system configurations, issues, and resolutionsEnsure all activities comply with DoD and Navy cybersecurity policiesAssist with maintaining audit-ready documentation and recordsFollow established procedures to ensure the security and integrity of IT systems and dataSupport implementation of security controls and best practicesParticipate in required cybersecurity awareness and compliance trainingRequirementsBachelor's degree in IT or related field OR 3+ years of relevant experienceBasic knowledge of:Computer systems and operating systemsNetworking fundamentalsTroubleshooting techniquesAbility to obtain and maintain DoD 8570 certification (e.g., Security+)
