Information Security Officer

To support various cybersecurity initiatives, the full-time remote Information Security Officer will manage compliance, risk, and controls while developing security policies and procedures, advising on security controls, and overseeing disaster recovery plans. Key responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with assigned entities, serving as the information security point of contact Implement and ensure functionality of security requirements and IT policies aligned with organizational goals Assist in the development of cybersecurity awareness programs and advise on risk management and disaster recovery plans Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer or Cyber Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field, or four years of relevant work experience Professional security certifications from recognized vendors may substitute for up to one year of experience Experience in developing and implementing security policies and procedures Proficiency in managing disaster recovery plans and audit processes Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
