Description

We are seeking an experienced Information Assurance Engineer / SME to provide onsite support at Langley AFB. The selected candidate will serve as a key technical resource supporting Information Assurance (IA) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities related to system accreditation and compliance. This role focuses on managing security documentation, processes, and technical artifacts to ensure full alignment with government cybersecurity requirements, particularly in support of Kessel Run systems and related OEM-deployed equipment.

Salary: 140-150K

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level support in managing all aspects of the Risk Management Framework (RMF), including system authorization, accreditation, and continuous monitoring.
  • Develop, maintain, and review RMF documentation and security control artifacts to support system accreditation.
  • Ensure all IA and cybersecurity requirements are met in accordance with DoD and Air Force directives.
  • Support and administer enterprise cybersecurity and endpoint protection tools, including:
    • SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager)
    • McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) and McAfee MOVE
    • Tenable Nessus / ACAS
    • LogRhythm
    • Host-Based Security System (HBSS)
  • Collaborate with program stakeholders, system owners, and engineers to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Provide ongoing IA/SME guidance to ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
  • Assist with responding to government data calls, inspections, and audit requests.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, or RMF support within a DoD environment.
  • Hands-on experience with security tools such as McAfee ePO, Nessus, SCCM, and HBSS.
  • Strong understanding of DoD IA policies, STIGs, and NIST 800-53 controls.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to interface effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant cybersecurity certification preferred (e.g., Security+ CE, CISSP, or CISM)
