Information ArchitectLocation: Boston, MA and remote Product/s: API developer portalSeeking an Information Architect to join its API Program and lead layout and structure efforts for business-critical APIs and other developer tools on internal and external facing portals. This role will work within the API Program product team to help shape the developer portal digital experience using structural logic, research, and content organization. The opening can be located at the new Boston office and be hybrid or fully remote.

It reports directly to the UX lead and will work closely with the UX designers to understand the needs of our users, create information hierarchies and navigation systems that effectively guide them through our product.As an IA, some specific responsibilities for this role include:Conducting user research and analyzing user data to understand how people use our product and what information they needDeveloping and maintaining information architecture documents, including sitemaps, wireframes, and flowchartsCollaborating with UX designers to design and refine the user interface and user experienceCommunicating the information architecture to the development team and ensuring that it is implemented correctlyParticipating in user testing to gather feedback and make improvements to the information architectureThe ideal candidate for this position will have a strong understanding of user-centered design principles and experience creating information architectures for web and mobile applications. They should also be comfortable working with a cross-functional team and be able to clearly communicate their ideas and design decisions. Familiarity with development standards, APIs, and software development processes is highly desired.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher5+ years relevant experience; but, for the right candidate, willing to accept 3+ yearsDocumentation examples that demonstrate 3+ years experience drafting flows, maps, and layouts for digital products (B2B, B2B2C and/or B2C)Portfolio that shows end to end understanding of the UX processExperience with standard toolsets.

Figma experience a plus.Able to grasp technical concepts, and complex development processesProcess-oriented and accustomed to a start-up pace to projectsWilling to experiment with new ways to organize and deliver content onlineSkills:Adept at producing clean, logical decision trees and diagrammingA keen eye for identifying points of failure, and future-proofing logicStrong communication skills and comfortable with presenting work to stakeholdersAutonomous and comfortable juggling multiple, overlapping and, at times, competing prioritiesStrong interpersonal and organizational skills plus keen attention to detailAccustomed to high-tech environments and working with cross-functional product development, management and design teams that are geographically dispersed.
