Infectious Diseases Physician

Overview

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst is seeking a full-time Infectious Diseases physician to join as faculty. We are looking for a highly motivated physician interested in working with an urban, ethnically diverse, underserved population in a dynamic and supportive academic setting. The hospital is accessible by public transportation and car from New York City, New Jersey and Long Island.

Join a well-established and growing Infectious Disease Division in one of the most diverse neighborhoods on the planet. Our ambulatory services are nationally recognized for excellence in primary HIV care and include a growing prevention program with emphasis on Sexual Health and HIV PEP and PrEP. Ambulatory services also include management of viral hepatitis, general infectious diseases, tuberculosis and tropical infections. Our inpatient consult teams see patients from all departments. Elmhurst is a main site for the Icahn School of Medicine Infectious Disease Fellowship. You will participate in the education of Fellows, residents and medical students. There are strong opportunities for academic growth.

As an attending physician in the Infectious Disease Division, responsibilities span clinical care, consultation and teaching, contributing to how infections are understood, prevented and taught.
