- Wide variety of pathology, including HIV, tuberculosis, zoonoses, infections in immunocompromised hosts (oncology), orthopedics, tick borne illness, endemic mycoses, STDs, HCV, Hep C
- Good collaboration with Sanford ID physicians in our system - weekly case conference
- Wound care-optional, with two hyperbaric chambers at Sanford Bemidji
- Meet with infection prevention bi-monthly
- Sanford Bemidji Medical Center is a 118-bed hospital with a 14-bed ICU and is a Level III trauma center with 27,000 annual patients
Responsibilities
- Perform history and physical examinations
- Admit (if applicable to setting) evaluate, diagnose, consult, and provide care to patients of all ages with infectious diseases of all types and in all organ systems
Compensation
- Nationally competitive compensation plan
- Annual compensation floor range (based on 1.0 FTE): $267,361 - $345,997 plus estimated potential to exceed compensation floor from personally performed wRVUs

Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Experience can be demonstrated by a fellowship log (for recent fellowship graduates) or a quality profile from current hospital(s) showing clinical activity for the last 12 months, including number of procedures performed, morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications
- Demonstrate active involvement of inpatient services, which included the care of at least 50 patients in the last 12 months (if not applying directly out of fellowship)
- If a quality profile is not available, documentation of clinic activity for the last 12 months is required, demonstrating active involvement in the care of at least 50 patients in clinical practice
- Successful completion of an Internal Medicine or Pediatric residency program
- Successful completion of a fellowship in Infectious Diseases accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada in the residency
- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
- If not board certified at the time of application but completed fellowship training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of fellowship training
