Job Description

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is seeking a BC/BE Infectious Disease Physician to join our inpatient consult-only service . This is a hospital-based role with a predictable schedule, manageable consult volume, and minimal outpatient responsibilities. This position will share coverage of Inpatient Infectious Disease with other community physicians who will cover every other week.

This position is ideal for physicians who enjoy complex inpatient medicine and want a balanced lifestyle with a true 7-on/7-off model.

Position Highlights

• 7 on / 7 off schedule
• Consult-only — no admissions, no primary service
• 8–10 consults per day
• 100% hospital-based (no travel between facilities)
• ½-day outpatient clinic per week for discharge follow-ups only
• No chronic outpatient panel
• No outpatient call or remote coverage during off weeks

Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board Certified/Eligible in Infectious Disease
• Eligible for Florida medical license
